when I asked my buddy where he got his "nova", he simply said, "what nova"?. Ten years later, it is sitting in my driveway. It all started when Mr..maddix asked me if I wanted to buy his 1974 g.t.o. without hesitation I said, "yes sir"! Being a Pontiac lover to, he told me to pay him when I could, and I drove to Kentucky from north Carolina to get it. All the way to Kentucky I was thinking about the times Mr.. and Mrs.. maddix would allow me to drive it to the local rod runs and sit by it and tell everyone it was "mine" And that made me want it even more then. Well, unfortunately after only having it in north Carolina for a month to the day, I was rear-ended by a seventeen year old kid, not paying attention and talking on his cell phone, hit me from behind and spun me 180 degrees. After turning the electric fan and the car off, I got out and what I seen made my stomach hurt. Not realizing the damage I got the nerve to walk to the back of the car and it was a mess. Also the passenger side of the windshield was cracked and my seat was broke all the way back to the back seat. So, after looking for a year, I finally found another body for my 74 goat, I don't know how long it will be before it is finished, but everyday I see my 74 sitting in my driveway, I thank Mr.. and Mrs.. maddix for selling me the goat and after putting the old front end (motor and all) she is starting to come around. so, after all the years of wanting the 74 my good friend had. I still appreciate the 74 goat sitting in my driveway.
