If the package was damaged in shipment, save the merchandise and packaging and notify us immediately for instructions.
To return an item to us, please contact us for instructions and a return authorization number. If Ames is responsible for the incorrect shipment we will reimburse the customer for their return shipping charges but under no circumstances will Ames pay for additional charges incurred by using packaging services, air shipping or accept COD shipments. For your protection, send the package by UPS or insured Parcel Post, saving the receipt until you hear from us.
Items must be returned in the same condition that it was received. We will not take back any parts that have been modified in any way. Most special order and dropship items are nonreturnable. Special ordered items and items more than 90 days old will be subject to a restocking fee. You can expect a refund in within 30 days of our receiving the returned order.
